Negative Gravity Impulse
NGI in short. The energetics team created a completely new method for harnessing DCG technology. They discovered that anti gravitational pulses were able to produce multiple velocity pulses to eject propulsion material. Timing was essential.
The function was roughly comparable to the difference between exhaling slowly and consistently or exhaling in short strong puffs. The amount of air been expelled was the same, but in the second instance, the initial speed of the air being expelled is much faster.
The system can only be used safely in zero gravity or close to it, in a vacuum, as it creates very strong fields that load everything with an intense acceleration, not to mention having a fairly heavy impact on the surrounding environment, fatal to anything it impacts.
The first generation NGI drives were built in the Carapace space fleet that reached 1.5 million kilometer per hour.
